THIS IS NOT AN EVENT - IT'S A MOVEMENT!

It is a focused initiative designed to witness to the lost, hurting, and confused in effort to draw people into a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:19 states "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you."

THREE EFFECTIVE METHODS TO EVANGELISM

  1. GO - leave out of the 4 walls of the church to reach the people. Our focus is on the sinner man/woman who doesn't know the Lord by way of the Christian experience. We must introduce people to him through a personal relationship with Jesus

  2. TEACH - If the gospel be hid, it's hid from those who are lost. The bible tells us to study to show ourselves approved to God. It also states "he that winneth souls is wise." We should be biblically sound to instruct people through the word of God

  3. BAPTIZE - Our ultimate goal is to grow the Kingdom of God and the result is that we would make disciples for Christ through the "new birth" experience.

ALWAYS BE READY TO R.E.S.E.T.

  1. Restore: Galatians 6:1 (AMP) "Brothers, if anyone is caught in any sin, you who are spiritual [that is, you who are responsive to the guidance of the Spirit] are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness [not with a sense of superiority or self-righteousness], keeping a watchful eye on yourself, so that you are not tempted as well."

  2. Explain: 1 Peter 3:15 (KJV) "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:"

  3. Serve: Matthew 25: 40 (KJV) "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

  4. Encourage: Hebrews 10:25 (AMP) "not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching."

  5. Touch and Agree: Matthew 18:19 "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven."

IMPORTANT SCRIPTURES FOR SPIRITUAL CONVERSION

  1. Jeremiah 31:3 (AMP) "The Lord appeared to me (Israel) from ages past, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you."

  2. Romans 10:9 (AMP) "because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

  3. Acts 2:28 (AMP) "And Peter said to them, “Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

  4. John 3:3-7 (AMP) "I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a person is born again he cannot see and experience the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born, can he?” 5 Jesus answered, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh [the physical is merely physical], and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not be surprised that I have told you, ‘You must be born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified]."
